If you’re a parent of a child with special needs, call on us for help navigating the complex special education system. Under the law, children with special needs have a right to receive a free, appropriate, public education that meets their unique needs. All children with special needs deserve to be in an educational setting that allows them to make meaningful progress. Davis and Davis works to ensure that your child receives his/her right to a free, appropriate, public education.

Your IDEA Rights

Under the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, also known as the IDEA, every child is entitled to a free, appropriate, public education. IDEA is a law that ensures that children with special needs get the evaluations, services, and support they need to thrive in school. To help plan your child’s education and ensure they receive services they need to succeed in school, parents need to know their child’s IDEA rights. Sadly, schools don’t automatically provide special education and related services information.
